Coolidge Park

A major attraction that the park features is the hand carved carousel which is over a hundred years old. The subtle manner, in which Chattanooga has accomplished the task of bringing back the old glory of the century old carousel, has drawn great appreciation from the people of Chattanooga as well as the regular stream of visitors from other cities. The carving techniques of 1895 have been skillfully blended with the digital technology of the 21st century. Capping it all is the inscription “Dedicated to Children of All Ages” which can be found at the bottom of the Stinson organ on the carousel.

The Coolidge Park is also a sought-after venue for special events, festivals, concerts and movies in the park. The park is open for your enjoyment from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm Mondays through Saturdays and on Sundays the schedule is 1.00 to 6.30pm.
