For all those who travel to Nashville with young children, a day spent at the Nashville Zoo is an ideal outing. With its exciting exhibits and wide range of wildlife, the Nashville Zoo is at once a fun and informative experience.

Some of the recently incorporated exhibits include that of an African Crested Porcupine, A Red River Hog in the Savanna enclosure, a Savanna exhibit for Giraffes which feature three giraffes from the rare and extremely prized Masai species and also a new Alligator Cove and a Lynx enclosure.

Unless the weather is particularly rough, the Nashville Zoo is open throughout the entire year except on New Year's Day, Christmas Day and Thanksgiving Day. From the 15th of March to the 15th of October the Nashville Zoo is open from 9 in the morning to 6 in the evening and from the 16th of October to the 14th of March the Zoo is open from 9 in the morning to 4 in the afternoon.
