Percy Priest Lake

Located in the north central Tennessee it is a reservoir that was formed by the J. Percy Priest dam. It is located on the stones river and is about a 16 km. east of downtown Nashville. It is a 14,200 acres water body with its water used for wildlife management. First authorized in the year 1946 it was completed in 1967. It is still used and operated and managed by the U. S. Army. The lake is used for recreational purposes and has many rowing clubs that operate on its waters.
