Percy Priest Lake is a reservoir which is located in the Nashville city in Tennessee State. The Lake is formed by the Percy Priest dam. The dam is located 10 miles away from downtown Nashville. The construction of the lake started in the year 1963 and the work was over in the year 1967.
The Percy priest lake covers three counties like Davidson, Rutherford and Wilson. The lake is situated 490 feet above the sea level. The lake consists of 14,200 acres of water. The water is surrounded by 19,854 acres of lands in which 18,854 is public lands and remaining is managed by the wildlife management.

The lake is supervised by the U.S Army Corps of Engineers employees who works under the direction of District Engineer of Nashville. The Percy Priest Lake features numerous recreation clubs. Some of eh recreation clubs in the lake are Vanderbilt Sailing Club, Vanderbilt rowing club and Nashville Rowing Club.
There is also camp grounds, eleven day use or picnic areas, and twelve boat launching ramps. The Percy priest dam is 147 feet high and 2,716 feet length. The lake is said to be the best place for entertainment because of the different types of activities are included in the lake. The main things to do here are the hiking, boating, canoeing, hunting, picnicking, fishing, horse riding, and many more.
