Relocated in '96 this zoo is a great place to visit with your kids and family. This zoo is spread over 200 acres area by the name Grassmere. It is located approximately 6 miles away from Nashville downtown.

You need an entire day to cover this vast expanse of reserve for more than 300 animals. - Grassmere Historic Home is a tour to the Historic Croft Home which is located at the Historic Farm area of Nashville Zoo. The discovering tour starts at 10 am daily and the last trip begins at 3 pm. Each tour lasts for half an hour and the Home will be closed during the winter.

- Bird Awareness Day refers to May 7 which is dedicated to celebrating the fabulous journeys of migratory birds between the North America and Central and South America.
