
A Complete Introduction and Demonstration of the NBC Country Music Singing Competition Held in Nashville
Nashville is known as the home place for country music and this is where the popular singing competition in country music is conducted. The competition has a lot of followers and is important in the cultural scene of Nashville. The competition is popularly known as 'Nashville Star' and is broadcasted from the popular Opryland Complex.
This program had gained much popularity among the reality shows on television since its transmission during the middle days of 2008. USA Network and NBC were the channels that broadcasted the show. The program was based on country music and the contestants had to impress the celebrity evaluators. In this way, the program can said to be similar to American Idol.
However, there was a difference in that country music - the base of Nashville Star. This was changed during the 6th season and the finalists were permitted to choose from different music types besides country music. Since the year 2003, the program had maintained a certain level of popularity which ended on the 13th of March in 2009.
This year, it was cancelled and it was also confirmed that a seventh season of the show would not take place. The first winner of the show was Mr. Buddy Jewell and the year 2009 show was ended with the selection of Melissa Lawson as the winner.
